Danfoss announces intent to acquire German compressor manufacturer BOCK Gmbh to strengthen expertise in CO2 and natural refrigerants technology

  • BOCK GmbH, originally founded in 1932, is a technology and innovation leader in its field and offers one of the world’s largest portfolios of semi-hermetic compressors for natural refrigerants

Bangalore: Danfoss has announced the intent to acquire compressor manufacturer BOCK GmbH, headquartered in Frickenhausen, Baden-Württemberg, Germany, from NORD Holding GmbH.

With over 50 years of history and assets under management of € 2.5 billion, NORD Holding is one of the leading private equity asset management companies in Germany.

Developing compressors for the natural refrigerant CO2 since 1993, BOCK is a global technology leader in the field of environmentally friendly, economical compressors.

According to the International Institute of Refrigeration, refrigeration technology and air conditioning take up about 15 % of the electricity consumption worldwide, making the quest for energy efficient solutions ever more relevant. Intelligent solutions, combining high energy efficiency and low-GWP refrigerants, both natural and synthetic, are the road to sustainable refrigeration and air conditioning. By acquiring BOCK GmbH, Danfoss takes a proactive approach to further the development and use of low-GWP refrigerants to help abate global warming and to ensure the competitiveness of the industry.

At Pack Expo, TeknoPlex Consumer Products to Give Sustainability-focused Presentation on Innovation Stage

“Rethink Responsibly” highlights company’s materials diversity-driven approach to optimizing sustainability.

Wayne, PA – TekniPlex Consumer Products, a globally integrated provider of innovative solutions through materials science and manufacturing technologies, will host a presentation highlighting its materials science-based approach to sustainability at Pack Expo in Chicago. On Sunday, October 23 at 3:00 p.m., on Innovation Stage 1 (Stand N4560), the company will present Rethink Responsibly, which discusses a variety of challenges surrounding one of packaging’s most complex, all-encompassing topics.

“Rethink Responsibly” has become a mindset for TekniPlex. Emirates SkyCargo and United Cargo announce landmark agreement

Dubai: Emirates SkyCargo and United Cargo signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that follows on the heels of the new broader historic commercial agreement between two of the largest global airlines. This coordination will deliver benefits to air freight customers of both Emirates Skycargo and United Cargo around the world.

The MoU was signed at the World Cargo Symposium (WCS) – IATA event in London, UK by Nabil Sultan, Emirates Divisional Senior Vice President, Cargo and Jan Krems, President, United Cargo.

Under the terms of the MoU, Emirates SkyCargo and United Cargo will work closely on a number of aspects, which include expanding cargo interline options and blocked space agreements, pending regulatory approvals. This will build on existing cargo interline arrangements between both air cargo operators and offer freight customers access to more capacity on a larger combined global network.

“Emirates SkyCargo is committed to being the leading player in the global air cargo industry providing our customers with the highest standards of products and services. United Cargo will have access to Emirates SkyCargo’s high frequency distribution network through the belly-hold of passenger flights to over 100 global destinations and 11 freighters, whilst Emirates SkyCargo will have access to over 200 cities in the US and 300 cities across five continents through United Cargo.
