In September 2022 Controlant was awarded with the annual Vaxtarsprotinn, an award that acknowledges and recognizes exponential growth and scale-up in the startup community in Iceland.
This is the 16th time the Vaxtarsprotinn has been awarded, presented by the Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation, Áslaug Arna Sigurbjörnsdóttir, as a joint venture between the Federation of Icelandic Industries and Startup companies, Reykavík University, and the Icelandic Centre of Research.
Controlant has, in the last two years, scaled up its operations due to the growing demand for sustainable real-time supply chain solutions for enterprise pharmaceutical companies. This has led to its workforce growing to almost 400 people from 42 nationalities and an astounding 929% increase in revenue between 2021 and 2022.
Gísli Herjólfsson, co-founder and CEO, Controlant: “This award further motivates us in our journey to reduce waste in one of the world´s most valuable supply chains.”
